Outlook Express Configuration
- In Outlook Express, go up to Tools, then down to Accounts.
- Click
on the Mail tab at the top. If you do not have something with APU
in there already, click on Add, then click on Mail.
It will go through and ask you some basic questions. When asked to put
in your “Incoming (POP3) and Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Servers,” type mail.apu.edu in both of them.
- On the next screen that comes up, make
sure you have it set to “Log on Using.” Your “Account Name”
is the same thing as the first part of your email address.
- Type it in, and then
in “Password,” type in your password. Click on Next.
- Leave “Internet Account Name” alone and click Next.
- “Connect
using my phone line,” Next.
- “Use the following Dial-up Network:”
highlight APU, click Next, click Finish.
- Now just click on Close in the bottom right and you’re ready to use Outlook Express.
