This is in response to Deb Küntz's letter about "If the Tables Were Turned."

I couldn't disagree with you more. The fact is the votes have been counted, they have been counted more than once, up to three or four times in fact. We simply cannot have Vice President Gore recieve recounts until he gets the result he wants. In fact, Bush has had the opportunity to call for recounts in several other states, but has not (with the exception of New Mexico). What you wrote is not only subjective, it's unproven. There is no way to know how Bush would react.

Gore has already played a huge part in diminishing this election. He may have won the popular vote, but both candidates agreed at the beginning of this campaign that whoever wins the electoral college, wins the White House. In the World Series, you may score the most runs, but if you don't win four games you lose. The same applies.
