Community Service Opportunities

Ministry Opportunities

Azusa Pacific University (APU) provides a unique environment for students to learn through service opportunities offered by the university. These opportunities allow students to fulfill their service and ministry requirements (120 hours of community service are required of undergraduate students to graduate) while gaining an appreciation of the community in which they live. Students may choose to participate in service opportunities that help prepare them for their chosen profession, or branch out into something very different.

For more detailed information about service opportunities at APU, visit the Office of Ministry and Service.

Ensenada/Mexicali

Each year, teams of international students go to Mexico along with 5,000 other college and high school students the week before Easter. Students learn about the Mexican culture and serve the local community through spending time with children, serving the elderly, and assisting in construction projects. Another shorter trip to Mexico visits the Ensenada area each November during the Thanksgiving break.
