International Orientation schedule: (Please arrive on-time)
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006
9:00 am
until 5:00 pm
This
day includes a campus tour, obtaining your I.D. card, email setup, and optional
dinner and shopping.
Wednesday, August 30th,
2006 8:45 am until 5:00 pm
Informative sessions on immigration,
academics, how to register for class and an introduction to
Thursday, August 31st, 2006
10:30 am until
4:30 pm (optional day)
An afternoon of free food and fun at a home near APU’s campus.
What to Bring:
- Passport
- I-94 form
- Your Health/Immunization records
- Comfortable
shoes for the campus tour on Tuesday
A small breakfast and full lunch are provided for free on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday, a free BBQ lunch is provided.
What is APU’s International Orientation? An orientation for incoming international students and Americans who grew up abroad. The purpose is to provide you with services and programs to give you a good beginning at APU. There is no fee required for attending International Orientation.
Am I required to attend International Orientation? Yes. All incoming international students must attend International Orientation in order to register for your classes. Tuesday and Wednesday are required. Thursday is an optional day. Undergraduate students are required to attend the “normal” APU orientation starting on Friday, September 1st.
Where is International Orientation? The LAPC Room is located on APU’s East Campus next to the cafeteria (the main campus) near the trolley stop. Look for the signs around campus that say, “International Orientation”. Click on this link to view a map: http://www.apu.edu/azusa/campusmap/ . The LAPC room is #47 on the 2nd page.
