Admitted Students
American Language and Culture Institute (ALCI)
After a placement test each student will be placed in the appropriate level based on the test results. Registration will take place in the first week of the program.
Undergraduate (Bachelor’s Degree)
All newly accepted students are required to attend International Student Orientation in order to register. At the International Student Orientation, detailed instructions will be given for registration.
These items are essential for you to bring for registration:
- Passport, I-94, I-20 (or DS2019), and any other immigration documents
- Immunization records
- Driver’s license, car registration information, and car insurance information, if applicable
- Money for payment toward tuition, housing, books, and fees
APU accepts Mastercard, Visa, and Discover credit cards. Traveler’s checks, cashier’s checks, money orders, or personal checks are also acceptable.
New students will begin the registration process by attending the New Student Orientation. An appointment card and ID card will be given at that time. To finalize registration, visit the following offices and complete the following procedures:
- Health Center—submit immunization records and/or get immunized*
- International Center (IC)—get immigration documents copied and submit personal information
- Academic Advising—choose classes
- Registration—secure classes
- Student Financial Services (SFS)—get a tuition bill
- Cashier—pay bill in full**
- Yearbook—have your picture taken
- International Center—submit your personal information and clearance form
*Students must submit immunization records before registering for classes.
**All international students are required to pay in full each time of registration. There is no payment plan for international students.
After completion of this process you can purchase textbooks at the APU bookstore.
If it is necessary for you to change classes you need to fill out an add/drop form and get it cleared by IC first, then submit it to the Office of the Undergraduate Registrar. To get a parking permit, submit the appropriate form to the Department of Campus Safety.
Graduate (Master’s Degree)
