Overview
American Language and Culture Institute (ALCI)
Please be sure to set aside the dates for our International Student Orientation! Immediately following Orientation, you will be given a placement test, which will determine the appropriate ALCI level you will begin at APU. Registration and payment will take place in the first week of the program. For more information, please contact your admissions counselors.
Undergraduate (Bachelor’s Degree)
Required Forms and Deposits
We will mail you an admission packet including important information about housing options, vehicle registration, immunization requirements, and more. Please complete all required forms and submit deposits as requested.
Tuition Deposit of $300 is required to reserve your spot at APU. May 1 is the deadline for Fall Enrollment and December 1 is the deadline for Spring Enrollment. The deposit payment can only be made online through home.apu.edu.
A housing deposit ($250) is required for all freshman and sophomore students along with the Housing application included in the admission packet. Junior and senior transfer students can choose to sign up for on-campus housing and will need to submit the housing deposit as well. New Student Registration (Fall Enrollment Only)
This is your chance to reserve classes for the fall, take any proficiency tests needed, attend informative workshops, and more. You can come to campus to register, or you can attend an event in your area. Learn more.
International Student Orientation (ISO)
You will start your official journey during the mandatory International Student Orientation. Please plan your arrival so that you are here for the first day of Orientation. For detailed information and schedule, please visit International Students and Scholars or contact Vijay Jacob.
New Student Orientation (NSO)
Orientation materials will be sent to you and your parents approximately one month before the semester begins. In the meantime, please register for NSO and learn more about what Orientation is all about.
Graduate Students (Master’s Degree)
Admission Letter and International Student Orientation
The International Enrollment Services will notify students of their admission status. A letter is sent to you along with necessary immigration document and other important information regarding International Student Orientation. International Student Orientation is required for all newly admitted international graduate students.
Registration
Online registration is available for international students after a hold is removed from your status. You must take an action before you have full access to online registration. If you have an R15 (International Student Hold) in your Student Services Center, you must contact the International Students and Scholars office first at +1-626-812-3055.
