March 15 - 21, 2008

Over 5,000 high school students travel with their youth groups to Mexico each year during the week before Easter to four different camps we host during that week. This trip is the first big trip of the year that Mexico Outreach coordinates and the excitement is almost palatable throughout the week. The four unique communities where we hold camp, each with a distinctive atmosphere and setting, are the “base sites” where the teams sleep, eat, and worship together.

During the week, groups go to chapel in the morning, grab their bag lunches, and head out to their ministry sites to host children’s ministries, do some construction, visit an orphanage and help out there or whatever they choose. In the evenings, groups will head back to their base camp and get some dinner and then go to chapel.
