Ensenada Kids' Camp

July 30-August 1, 2008

The Kids' Camp, first started in 1999, has become a highlight of the year's events at Rancho El Refugio (our camp in Ensenada, Mexico). The Kids' Camp is unlike any other camp that we host because we invite children from the Ensenada area to participate in the three-day event. This camp is an exciting event because most of these kids come from poor neighborhoods, and have never been to camp. All year long, we have generous people who give money to help scholarship these kids to come to camp. During the three days they are at camp, the kids will play games, make crafts, go to a swim park, camp in tents, and hear all about Christ's love.

Every year since the camp first started, the numbers have doubled from the year before. That is why your help is needed more than ever before. We need volunteer staff to come and serve on Camp Staff during Kids' Camp. We need groups that can lead some of the activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and other camp staff activities. If you are unable to participate in Kids' Camp, perhaps you can provide a scholarship for a deserving Ensenada child. And last but not least, we always appreciate your prayers for the kids who come and for the staff who serve.
