Ministry Options

Children's Ministry

Children's Ministry

Ninety percent of all teams come as Children's Ministry (CM) Teams. If you choose to come as a CM Team, you will be responsible for putting on a Children's Ministry program at your assigned church. Your team will partner in the evening services. There is plenty of room for you to be creative in the way that you present and share. And of course, there is always time for soccer games, crafts, singing, and playing with children.

Special Ministry Teams

Specials Team

You may also choose to be a specialized performance team, or a "Specials Team." These teams are not assigned a ministry site but are instead charged with creating a 20-minute ministry program (e.g., puppets, drama, music, mimes, etc). Other teams sign up to have a specials team come and perform at their sites. It is important that specials teams are scheduled at least three times a day. We encourage you to be creative!

Community Service Team

Community Service

You may also choose to do Community Service Projects. Your team could serve in the community by picking up trash, painting schools, and improving the local community in a variety of other ways.

Construction

Construction

Construction Crews work on construction projects for a local church or a community. The goal is to raise as much money as possible before you come so that you are able to buy construction materials. You are responsible for bringing your own basic tools from home.

Event Staff

Event Staff

Being an Event Staff member is another way to be involved in the ministry of Mexico Outreach. The Event Staff helps run the camps by cooking, cleaning, providing medical services, maintaining the camp area, providing security, and much more. They enable the ministry teams to focus on ministry. If you are interested on joining the Event Staff download the Event Registration Packet*, and then send your completed application to moreg@apu.edu.
