Bob McCorkle

Mexico Outreach Team: Bob McCorkieWhile living as a youth in Seattle, in the beautiful overcast shadow of the Pacific Northwest, Bob’s family and their passion for the lost influenced his desire to be a missionary.

In 1983, as an APU baseball player, Bob went to Mexico with Mexico Outreach. It was his first experience in another country and it was the start of a new direction away from sports and into missions. After graduation, he worked in Student Financial Services at APU while working on his MBA. He then left APU for Costa Rica and language school. While learning Spanish in Costa Rica, he met his wife, Ileana, and a year later they were married. They returned to the United States, where Bob worked as the assistant to the president of the International Bible Institute in Santa Fe Springs, California.

Then in 1995, Bob came back to APU to work for Mexico Outreach. In 2000, Bob left to help plant a Spanish church in San Dimas, California, and later was pastor at a church in Arcadia. Bob and Ileana also co-founded a pastoral training school in the state of Kerala, India.

In 2007, the Lord called Bob back to Mexico Outreach and APU. Bob and his family thank the Lord for giving them the opportunity to serve once more in the Mexico Outreach office.
