George Bache

George Bache is the Executive Director of the Institute for Outreach Ministries (IOM) directing the Office of World Missions and Mexico Outreach. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Montana State University and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Davis. While holding degrees in secular disciplines, God clearly set him on a path with a purpose providing numerous opportunities to serve. From teaching children, to discipling youth and adults, to church planting, to leadership roles as Church Elder and Lay Pastor, to various Short Term Missions opportunities. Each ministry was designed to produce character and equip him for further service.

His first introduction to IOM was in 1997 through Mexico Outreach. In the years that followed God awakened a calling toward full time vocational involvement in outreach ministries. George immediately began to get extensively involved in Short Term Outreach opportunities, participating in multiple trips to Mexico (through Mexico Outreach), as well as trips to Bolivia and Albania.

In March of 2004 he left behind 22 years of Engineering and Business and answered a call to Azusa Pacific University. George’s wife, Sue and his daughters, Brittany and Kirstie are his biggest supporters. IOM gives George the opportunity and great privilege to participate in a global ministry devoted to God’s glory.
