Adam became the coordinator of Focus International in July 2006. Born and raised in southern Michigan, Carpenter spent most of his days on the farm. Farming with his father, grandfather, and uncle instilled a love for God’s creation within him. “Life is a garden, dig it!”

Adam earned a B.A. in Christian Ministry from Spring Arbor University, and minored in Business. He intends to study in the future for an MBA. He married Rebecca (Krober) and upon graduation, they moved to Huangshi, China to teach English to Chinese high school students. After two years serving the Lord in China, he came to work for the Office of World Missions at APU. He desires that all students would take advantage of the opportunity to reach the world around them.

Adam is passionate about holistic discipleship. His life-pursuit is to guide young adults in the process of discovering that God has always been pursuing them and desires to be the full guiding Light of their lives. Ask him to join in a game of ultimate frisbee, soccer or ping-pong, come along mountain biking, snowboarding, or long boarding, and he’ll be there.
