Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in Cape Town, South Africa
October 18–24, 2010
Lausanne Celebration Event at APU November 4, 2010
Perhaps the largest gathering of Christian leaders in world history, the Third Lausanne Congress will meet October 18–24, 2010, in Cape Town, South Africa, to discuss critical global issues, including diverse world faiths, extreme poverty, HIV/AIDS, and religious persecution, and promote worldwide evangelism and missions. More than 4,500 leaders from nearly 200 countries will gather to draft missional responses and form partnerships to help “shape the course of world evangelization for the next generation.”
Azusa Pacific University will serve as an official Global Link site, offering faculty, staff, students, and the local community an opportunity to watch live footage of the Congress.
On Thursday, November 4, 2010, a special Lausanne Celebration Event will be held on campus to feature the highlights, outcomes, and next steps for post-Lausanne dialogue. Local pastors and congregations will be our special guests for a powerful glimpse of God’s work in our world.
