Additional Opportunities

Dinner Rally

This annual fundraising event partners alumni and current students as they explore APU’s century-old commitment to keep God First, highlight those who have impacted the lives of others, and join efforts to thank those who give so generously to make the APU experience possible. Volunteers engage in set-up, food service, and tear down at the end of the night.

Focus International

Focus International, part of APU’s Office of World Missions (OWM), provides opportunities for students to travel the world, learn from people in other places, and experience the gift of serving others. Each year, more than 200 students, faculty, and staff travel across the United States, South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe conducting work projects, vacation Bible school, street evangelism, and much more.

L.A. Term

APU’s Los Angeles Term (L.A. Term) is a residential study and service semester in the heart of Los Angeles. It aims to equip undergraduate students to live out their faith and values in postmodern urban culture. Dependent on public transportation during the semester, students live with homestay families in Los Angeles, do an internship at a local community or government organization, and take classes at the L.A. Regional Center in Koreatown.

Mexico Outreach

It doesn’t matter what age you are, Mexico Outreach is life-changing. Mexico Outreach was founded on the principle that young people of all ages can be effective in sharing the Gospel, and that within them are many gifts and talents to do so. Who is to say that one of them might not grow into a "Daniel," and another into the next great missionary of our generation? Our prayer is that every participant with Mexico Outreach experiences Jesus Christ and finds themselves renewed in their purpose in Him.

Center for Academic Service-Learning and Research

The Center for Academic Service-Learning and Research builds community by developing positive, reciprocal relationships between APU and the local private and public sectors in order to enhance scholarship of both faculty and students through service activities, which integrate faith in Christ with service and learning.
