All full-time undergraduate students have a service requirement for graduation. The Service Credit Report Form allows you to get credit for your various service experiences. You may print the form, fill it out, and turn it into the Office of Ministry and Service to get credited for the experience. If you are unsure about a particular experience counting toward the requirement, you may call the office at (626) 812-3028, email Service Requirement Coordinator Michelle Martinez at mjmartinez@apu.edu or stop by the office located on East Campus.
Relevant Organizations
Christian Community Development Association (CCDA)
The CCDA works towards holistic Christian community development. Their mission is specifically to inspire and train Christians to bear witness to the Kingdom of God through reclaiming and restoring under-resourced communities. Students who are interested in learning how to thoughtfully engage the community around them can find a wealth of resources through this organization.
Kern Center for Vocational Ministry (KCVM)

The KCVM assists students who are sensing God leading them to vocational pastoral ministry by helping them clarify their calling and qualify their giftedness.
Sojourners
Sojourners provides many resources for students interested in connecting their faith to relevant and meaningful social action and political involvement. Sojourners mission is to “articulate the biblical call to social justice, inspiring hope and building a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church, and the world.”
Urban Youth Workers Institute (UYWI)
UYWI exists to strengthen a new generation of global urban leaders for transformational ministry. UYWI has a vision to build transformational relationships with leaders. Transformational relationships are defined as a combination of participation in training and development events combined with ongoing, regular two-way communication designed to build ministry capacity. The vision of this initiative is to develop the next generation of urban and multi-ethnic leaders for the urban world.
