Azusa Pacific University professor and director of the Center for Research in Science, Leslie Wickman, Ph.D., was recently interviewed by several Moody Radio affiliates as a part of their 40th Anniversary Apollo Moon Landing programming. Wickman was interviewed along with best-selling apologetics author Lee Strobel, best known for his bestselling book, The Case for Christ.

The interview topics included the importance of Christian professionals in the sciences, the challenges of new frontiers in space exploration, and how we learn more about God through the study of the universe and creation.

For more than a decade, Wickman served as an engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space in Sunnyvale, Calif. There she worked on NASA's Hubble Space Telescope and International Space Station Programs, receiving commendations for her contributions and being designated as Lockheed's Corporate Astronaut. Wickman is currently the director of the Center for Research in Science (CRIS) at APU as well as a Senior Engineering Specialist at the Aerospace Corporation.

"The more we explore God's creation, the more we learn about Him. Really, it's a cause for awe and wonder and even worship of our creator," said Wickman.
