WHO:
Azusa Pacific University’s Center for Research in Science (CRIS) hosts Hugh Ross, Ph.D., president of Reasons to Believe, an international and interdenominational science-faith think tank. Based out of Glendora, the nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing powerful new reasons from science to believe in God.

WHAT:
Lecture: A World of Difference
Ross uses the Bible and his background in physics to declare his beliefs on a realm beyond our own. Discussing the physics we understand today and God’s reasons for His cosmic design, Ross will enlighten believers as well as those still questioning their faith as he delves into the many different purposes God has for the universe He created.

WHEN:
Wed., Jan. 21, 2009
6 p.m.

WHERE:
Munson Chapel, East Campus
901 E. Alosta Ave.

WHY:
CRIS invites lecturers to discuss current issues of science and theology in order to educate students and the community on the evidence for God’s handiwork in the universe and to equip Christians to defend their faith through science. For a complete schedule of upcoming guests and lectures, visit www.apu.edu/research-science/.

FACTS:
The youngest person to serve as director of observations for Vancouver's Royal Astronomical Society, Ross completed his undergraduate degree in physics from the University of British Columbia and graduate degrees in astronomy from the University of Toronto. Through his studies of scientific and historical reality-testing, he became convinced that the Bible is the only scientifically and historically accurate source of religion.
