The event features four Azusa Pacific University faculty authors: George Babbes, Ken Otto, Stuart Strother, and Sarah Sumner. Both Strother and Sumner co-wrote books with their spouses, who will also be present.
WHAT:
APU presents four faculty authors who will share and discuss their books at the Glendora Barnes & Noble on Nov. 13. The event includes a reception, during which each author will present their book, followed by a meet and greet and time for signing.
From Nov. 13-16, 10 percent of every purchase contributes to APU's Faculty Writers' Retreat. Bring a voucher, buy any book, and support the university. Show the voucher or tell the cashier you want to support APU.

The Sumners tell the unlikely story of their love and marriage, offering detailed teaching on conflict resolution, managing expectations, getting past hot button issues, and living in Christian community. Through a close examination of often misunderstood biblical teachings, the book offers a fresh perspective on love and marriage. Sarah Sumner, Ph.D., serves as a professor of theology and ministry and as special assistant to the dean of strategic development at APU. She is also the director of the university's Master of Arts in Theological Formation program.
