History Day L.A. 2010 takes place on Saturday, March 13. This annual event is part of a national program that encourages students to prepare posters, exhibits, papers, websites, performances, and documentary presentations on a historical theme. These projects will be judged by community members and social science professionals. Participation in History Day L.A. provides opportunities for students to meet content standards and improve academic achievement.

Azusa Pacific’s involvement with History Day L.A. builds connections between the university and students of L.A. County. Sponsored by the Los Angeles County of Education Office and designed to give students the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of history, this event also allows students to reflect on the importance of telling the story of the past.
