WHO:
Author and journalist Evan Wright comes to Azusa Pacific University to talk about his book, Generation Kill.

WHAT:
Evan Wright, author of Generation Kill, visits Azusa Pacific University to speak to students and guests about his book and his experience as a journalist covering the invasion in Iraq. His visit allows students interested in journalism a first-hand glimpse of life in the field.

Wright chronicled his experience as an embedded journalist with the First Reconnaissance Battalion of the United States Marine Corps during the 2003 invasion in Iraq in the book Generation Kill. It began as a three-part article series in Rolling Stone, he then chronicled it in his book, and in 2008 it the book became a seven-part miniseries on HBO. Wright writes from personal experience and from a perspective not seen in most mainstream media outlets.
