WHO:

Azusa Pacific University’s Department of Art hosts a travelling exhibit from Partners Relief & Development

WHAT:

WarChild is a traveling exhibit that featuers art, stories, and images from Burma’s children of war.

Staff and volunteers of Partners work closely with Burma's refugees and internally displaced people. Partners has built health clinics, provided emergency supplies to families, built dorms for orphans, and trained teachers and health care workers in one particular community along the Thai-Burma border, Shan Town.

In November 2008, Partners Relief & Development traveled to a school of 700 students in Shan Town where they learned about the children’s life experiences. Though they only had acrylic paint and paper, the results were incredible. (Watch this promotional video about the exhibit: http://vimeo.com/9141558.)
