WHO:

Azusa Pacific University’s School of Business and Management hosts Michael Lizarraga, president and chief executive officer of The East Los Angeles Community Union (TELACU).

WHAT:

Lizarraga will address the different responsibilities that he holds through the operations of his company. He will share the background of his supervising roles in planning and development, and will talk about how he got to where he is today.

The lecture series allows Azusa and the APU community to draw from leading business professionals as they discuss the different challenges and successes they experienced through their individual careers in the business world.

BIO:

As president and CEO of TELACU Industries and its subsidiaries, Lizarraga is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a $600 million community development corporation, which owns and manages businesses in traditionally underserved communities of Southern California.

Lizarraga oversees TELACU’s business and operational activities in the fields of real estate development, financial services, construction, construction management, and other industries. He also plays a major role in business development, governmental relations, and strategic planning for the company.
