WHAT:
Robert Duke, Ph.D., will give a lecture on the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Bidwell Forum at the Glendora Public Library. He will discuss how APU acquired five fragments, the scrolls' significance, and APU's upcoming exhibit featuring the fragments and other biblical artifacts.

BIO:
Robert Duke, Ph.D. is an assistant professor of biblical studies at APU's School of Theology. Duke earned graduate degrees from Jerusalem University College and the University of California Los Angeles; his areas of expertise include Old Testament, Dead Sea Scrolls, and Second Temple Judaism. Duke spent almost four years studying in the Middle East, which has highly influenced his perspectives and teaching. Duke has given a number of presentations on the Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumran, including speaking most recently at the Wesleyan Theological Studies conference held at APU.
