Azusa Pacific University and the Azusa Unified School District (AUSD)

WHAT:

Approximately 220 AUSD students, third grade through high school, will participate in this year's G.A.T.E. Summer School Program at APU. Approximately 45 high school students will take college-credit courses offered in English, Science, and new this year, Political Science. Students are also offered scholarships for books and tuition through APU.

The G.A.T.E. program is a collaborative effort between APU, the local school district, and the community of Azusa. At a time when many extracurricular programs are being cut, this course provides a unique opportunity for students to participate in an enriched curriculum taught by AUSD and APU faculty.
