WHAT:

Azusa Pacific University's School of Music hosts its first Azusa Conservatory of Music Summer Camp. Camp director Alexander Koops, DMA, along with music instructors from APU and the Azusa Unified School District will teach students new skills, while having a lot of fun. The summer camp includes band, orchestra, choir, hand bells, and music technology classes.

Fourth to ninth grade boys and girls

WHEN:

Mon.—Thurs., July 6–July 22 (excluding Mon., July 5)

  • Beginning Band: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

  • Advanced Band: 10:45 a.m.-12 p.m.

  • String Orchestra: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

  • Choir: 1:40 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

  • Handbells: 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.

  • Music Technology: 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.

COST:

$150 for Beginning Band, Advanced Band, String Orchestra, and Choir

$75 for Handbells and Music Technology

Note: Students registered for band, orchestra, or choir only pay an additional $50 to add handbells or music technology (a $25 discount).
