As a part of the Christian Harp Conference taking place at Azusa Pacific University, there are several free concerts open to the public featuring renowned harpists from around the country.

Thurs., July 22

Harp Ensemble and the Mariners Church Worship Team

Featuring more than 20 harpists from around the country, the harp ensemble will present classic songs, such as, "Redeemed," "There is a Redeemer," and more.

The Mariners Church Worship Team includes the talents of Erica Powell Walker, a classically trained harpist from the Eastman School of Music who has performed throughout England and currently serves as the principal harpist for the Orange County Symphony. The group is led by Stan Endicott who has produced more than 200 records and has been in worship ministry for more than 30 years.

Fri., July 23

Robbin Gordon-Cartier, Becky Nissen, and Pearl

Robbin Gordon-Cartier has performed at Carnegie Hall, several television shows, and serves as the director for the harp program in the East Orange school district in New Jersey.

Becky Nissen is a church music director, as well as a freelance performer in South Carolina. Nissen was also the winner of the Lyon Healy Jazz and Pop Harp Competition.

Pearl is a worship band that includes the harp, keyboard, guitar, and vocals, that performs both hymns as well as contemporary songs of praise.

Internationally-known harpist Greg Buchanan

This concert, featuring Greg Buchanan, a world-class harpist whose career has spanned 25 years. His aggressive style of playing which redefines the listener’s concept of harp performances.
