BIO:
Willard, an award-winning author and philosopher, specializes in the areas of epistemology (the philosophy of mind and logic) and on the philosophy of Edmund Husserl, one of the most influential philosophers of the 20th century. Willard also publishes and lectures in religion. His most recent book, Knowing Christ Today, was released in May 2009. Christianity Today awarded Willard’s The Great Omission its 2007 Book Award in the Christian Living category, and his Renovation of the Heart the same award in 2003 in the Spirituality category. Willard has also served on several boards and committees including the C.S. Lewis Foundation, Renovaré, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
APU’s School of Theology provides expert preparation for Christian seminary, church and para-church ministry management, and Christian educational ministry. Offering more than 15 undergraduate and graduate religion programs, the program includes majors in philosophy, theology, and Christian ministry, as well as M.Div. and D.Min. programs.
