Azusa Pacific University’s Center for Research in Science (CRIS) hosts Gerald Schroeder, a scientist with more than 30 years of experience in research and teaching.
WHAT:
Lecture: "Six Days, Fourteen Billion Years or Both? A Discovery of Harmony between Modern Science and Ancient Biblical Commentary.”
Schroeder earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His doctoral program focused in two fields: earth science and physics. His formal theological training in biblical, talmudic, and kabalistic interpretation includes 15 years of study under three different Rabbis.
His scientific career has given him the opportunity to work with nuclear disarmament and has been present at the detonation of six atomic bombs. The results of Schroeder's work have been reported in Time, Newsweek, and Scientific American magazines. In addition, he is the author of four books, including the most recent, God According to God (May 2009).
