WHO:
Azusa Pacific University welcomes Voices of Destiny (Compton, Calif.), also known as the Nation's Best Church Choir and winners of Verizon Wireless's How Sweet the Sound Competition for this year’s Gospel Sing. Additional participating groups include: APU’s Gospel Choir, APU’s Umoja Step Team, Bobby Whiten, Lorenzo and Praizum, the Greater Los Angeles Cathedral Choir, and the APU Worship Team.
WHAT:
Azusa Pacific University’s Office of Multi-Ethnic Programs hosts Gospel Sing, an annual favorite for local Gospel groups. About 1,500 are expected to attend to see choir and dance groups giving God praise with their talents. Through this night of worship and celebration, attendees are exposed to the unique sounds and forms of Gospel music.
