WHAT:
Azusa Pacific University’s Azusa Conservatory of Music Summer Camp returns for the second year on the APU campus. The camp gives local youth a chance to engage in their love of music as they learn to play and improve their technique. Camp director Alexander Koops, DMA, along with music instructors from APU and the Azusa Unified School District will provide musical training to more than 100 individual students from the city of Azusa and surrounding communities in classes such as band camp, choir camp, summer jazz band, and summer rock band.
WHEN:
July 11–29
(Days vary based on individual class schedules. Contact the conservatory for a schedule.)
- Band Camp: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
- Choir Camp: 1 p.m.–3 p.m.
- Composing Workshop: 4 p.m.–5 p.m.
- Drum Circle: 6 p.m.–7 p.m.
- Summer Jazz Band: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
- Summer Rock Band: 9:50 a.m.–12 p.m.
