APU Presents Final Lecture of 2011 Science Series
WHO: Rich Knopp, Ph.D, a professor of philosophy and apologetics at Lincoln Christian University directs WorldViewEyes, a program developed through a $1 million grant from the Lilly Endowment of India.
WHAT: Knopp presents his lecture, “Lessons from the Philosophy of Science on the Perceptions and Practice of Science,” as a part of APU’s Center for Research in Science’s (CRIS) Science, Faith, and Culture lecture series.
Knopp discusses developments in philosophy over the last 50 years that offer valuable lessons on how we should perceive and practice science today. He explores significant changes in the perceptions of science most prominently influenced by two notable historians and philosophers of science, Thomas Kuhn and Karl Popper.
