WHO:
Azusa Pacific University, the Azusa Unified School District, and the Southern California Edison Federal Credit Union (SCE FCU) Foundation.

WHAT:
Sixty students from Azusa and Gladstone high schools will participate in Mad City Money, an event that teaches money management skills to teens. Azusa Pacific business students enrolled in the Personal Finance course will volunteer at the event as merchants of “Mad City,” selling goods to the participants while providing a real-world glimpse at financial budgeting in this hands-on simulation.

The high school students, who are involved in the afterschool program THINK Together, will take on the role of adults and be given jobs, a set income, a family, student loans or credit card debt, and various other bills. Students can visit a credit union on site for financial advice.
