APU's Oratorio Choir and Symphony Orchestra Perform Requiem by Gabriel Fauré

Featured French composer Fauré, has influenced many 20th century composers of his time. His piece Requiem, was first performed in 1888, in memory of the loss of his father and mother. APU's Oratorio Choir and Symphony Orchestra perform Fauré's rare piece of expression and personal loss.

The second of a two-part series, this concert features music inspired by Hungary. Both concerts celebrate the culture and community of the Hungarian people. Seating is limited, so arrive early.

Opera Workshop Presents Amahl and the Night Visitors

This special performance features APU students under the music direction of Beverly Crain, conduction of Alexander Koops, DMA, and stage direction of Catherine Ireland. Amahl and the Night Visitors is a one-act opera about a crippled boy and his mother who encounter three kings on a winter evening. This event will bring life to the Christmas story through the eyes of the character Amahl.

APU's Gospel Choir performs a Gospel music experience that is both artistic and cultural. One of the most diverse organizations on campus, this choir combines the gifts and talents of undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, administration, and community members.

Chamber Singers Fall Concert

Under the direction of Michelle Jensen, APU's Chamber Singers perform a variety of musical styles ranging from early Renaissance to contemporary.
