AZUSA, Calif. – More than 1,300 students will graduate from Azusa Pacific University on Sat., May 8, at the university's spring commencement ceremonies. The ceremonies feature 638 bachelor's degree, 477 master's degree, and 174 degree completion recipients. Twenty-nine individuals will receive doctoral degrees.

  • Graduate ceremony at 9:30 a.m.

  • Undergraduate and adult and professional studies ceremony at 6 p.m.

  • Ceremonies take place at APU's Cougar Stadium, East Campus, 901 E. Alosta Ave., Azusa

Graduate keynote speaker Lee G. Noel, Ph.D., spent 35-years as a higher education consultant, working with more than 400 colleges and universities to lead the charge for enrollment and retention effectiveness on college campuses. Noel also served as contributing editor of the Recruitment and Retention in Higher Education newsletter, and co-authored publications in the areas of marketing, recruiting, student retention, quality service, organizational development, and institutional effectiveness, including the book, Increasing Student Retention.

This year's undergraduate keynote speaker Raul Ries pastors a congregation of more than 14,000 at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar, Calif., and can be heard on more than 350 radio stations on his program Somebody Loves You. Today, more than 35 years after his conversion, Ries continues his ministry through conferences throughout the United States and Latin America. He also serves as the evangelist for the Somebody Loves You Crusades.
