English Professor Receives Undergraduate Scholarly Achievement Award

AZUSA, Calif. –
Glendora, Calif. resident Carole Lambert, Ph.D., Azusa Pacific University director of research and professor of English, received the Undergraduate Scholarly Achievement Award in August 2007. The $2,000 award recognized Lambert’s excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service as a professor. An attractive clock accompanied the award.
"Dr. Lambert is an accomplished scholar who serves as a model to our undergraduate students as well as to the broader academic community," said Diane Guido, Ph.D., vice provost for undergraduate programs. "We are, indeed, blessed to have a woman with her talents at APU."
Lambert's past achievements include receiving a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research in Brussels, Belgium, as well as four National Endowment for the Humanities grants. Lambert also served as the founding director of the APU Honors Program. She is the author of 3 books, 7 articles, and 15 reviews. Lambert is recognized as resource and inspiration to her faculty colleagues and students.
She holds a B.A. in French and German from Carlow College, Pittsburgh, Penn. and an M.A. in French from the University of Pittsburg. Lambert received a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
