History Day Workshops: Introduction to History Day

Azusa Pacific University and 4th-12th grade teachers

WHAT:
APU offers two workshops to help 4th-12th grade teachers implement History Day L.A. into their classrooms.

WHERE:
Hugh and Hazel Darling Library,
located on APU’s West Campus 701 E. Alosta Ave., Azusa

WHEN:
Introduction to History Day: Thurs., Sept. 20, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
How to Teach Students About History Day: Sat., October 13, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

WHY:
Azusa Pacific University’s involvement with History Day L.A. builds connections between the university and students of L.A. County. Designed to give students the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of history, this event also allows students to reflect on the importance of telling the story of the past.
