APU Lights Restored Drive-in Marquee

Azusa Pacific University invites the community to join in the festivities of lighting the recently restored Azusa Foothill Drive-in Marquee.

FACTS:
- The marquee renovations come as part of an agreement between Azusa Pacific University and the city of Azusa, in which APU pledged up to $50,000 to restore the former drive-in sign. The university utilizes the marquee to post announcements in English and Spanish to inform APU and the surrounding community of significant university dates and events.
- The restoration process, which took two years to complete, included repainting, bringing circuitry up to code, and replacing aged material.
- APU acquired the Foothill Drive-in property in 2001.
