More Than 600 Students to Graduate at APU’s Winter Commencement

AZUSA, Calif. –
More than 600 students will graduate from Azusa Pacific University on Sat., Dec. 15 at the university’s winter commencement ceremonies. The ceremonies feature 195 bachelor’s degree, 268 master’s degree, and 141 degree completion recipients. Twenty-two individuals will receive doctoral degrees.
This year’s undergraduate keynote speaker, Raleigh Washington, D.Div., is president and chief executive officer for The Road to Jerusalem ministry. Washington is the founder and pastor emeritus of Rock of our Salvation Evangelical Free Church in Chicago, Ill., an urban church reaching across racial barriers within the inner city of Chicago.
Graduate speaker, Clyde Cook, D.Miss., is president emeritus of Biola University. He has served as a volunteer and leader in many organizations including: Overseas Crusades Ministries in Cebu City, Philippines; Fellowship of Evangelical Seminary Presidents, Board of Directors; president of the American Association of Independent Colleges and Universities; and director of the Christian College Coalition.
The undergraduate and adult and professional studies ceremony takes place at 10 a.m. and the graduate ceremony at 3 p.m. The ceremonies will be held in the Richard and Vivian Felix Event Center on APU’s West Campus at 701 E. Foothill Blvd., in Azusa.
