Azusa Pacific University’s Center for Research in Science (CRIS) hosts Tim Finlay, associate professor of Old Testament in the Haggard Graduate School of Theology.

WHY:
CRIS invites lecturers to discuss current issues of science and theology in order to educate students and the community on the evidence for God’s handiwork in the universe and to equip Christians to defend their faith through science.
FACTS:
- Finlay is a specialist in form-critical interpretation, specifically as it interacts with newer methods such as narrative and feminist criticism. He teaches critical methodologies and the underlying philosophical presuppositions behind those methodologies. Finlay teaches classes in the Pentateuch, the Prophets, and the Gospels, and is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and the National Association of Professors of Hebrew.
