Christian Women in Leadership Conference at APU

WHO:
APU's Council for Christian Women in Leadership (CWL) hosts the 2005 Dream Again Conference.

WHAT:
Through keynote speakers and workshops, this year's conference encourages women to pursue their God-ordained call with conviction, compassion, and determination.

The conference includes guest speakers Cynthia Rembert James, Ph.D., Christian psychologist and pastor of two congregations in Oakland, Calif.; Carolyn Custis James, author of When Life and Beliefs Collide: How Knowing God Makes a Difference, and Ilene Smith-Bezjian, DBA, dean of APU's School of Business and Management.

Sat., May 14, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

WHY:
"The primary objective of the conference is to encourage and empower women to discover and develop their gifts," said Pamela M. Christian, Ph.D., special assistant for university diversity at APU. "The Christian Women in Leadership Program offers an interdisciplinary approach equipping, networking, and mentoring Christian women in various environments."

FACTS:

  • Workshop presenters include Rose Liegler, Ph.D., vice provost for graduate and adult programs; faculty members from APU's Haggard School of Theology, the School of Education and Behavioral Studies, School of Nursing, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the Center for Adult and Professional Studies; as well as a guest medical doctor and other church and community leaders.
  • Registration before May 6 is $99. Registration after May 6 or onsite is $125. Due to meal preparation, refunds will not be issued after May 1.
