APU's Center for Research in Science Lecture: "What All Scientists Believe and Why"

Azusa Pacific University's Center for Research in Science (CRIS) hosts Tim Heumier, Ph.D., assistant professor of math and physics at APU.

Lecture: "What All Scientists Believe and Why"

CRIS exists to serve a community of students, scholars, and laypersons by promoting research that encompasses yet extends the scope of scientific studies to address the inseparable relationship between science and culture, the role of science in classical liberal arts education, and the ancient dialogue between faith and reason.

FACTS:

  • Heumier will speak about science endeavors and their success in understanding the natural world. Among these beliefs, Heumier will look at how nature exists independent of the observer and how nature behaves according to established laws. He will discuss how these ideas arose from the Christian worldview, and how they form the foundation of the scientific method.
