Friday, November 2
Symphonic Band
This concert is an eclectic collection of masterworks, including Grainger’s Hill Song II and Mendelssohn’s Overture for Winds, Op. 24. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall, located on APU’s East Campus at 901 E. Alosta Ave., Azusa. Admission is free.

Saturday, November 3
Faculty Recital Series
APU voice faculty member, Letitia Ugwueke, will perform selections from Georges Bizet’s Carmen, Summertime by George Gershwin, Francesco Cilea’s Acerba Volutta, music from the movie Dreamgirls, plus music by Jill Scott, Richard Smallwood, Chaka Khan, Anointed, and more! The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Monday, November 5
French Harp Music
This APU harp duo, Amber Burdick and Bonnie Mohr, will perform music composed by French masters. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall. The concert is free of charge.

Tuesday, November 6
Wind Ensemble
The APU Wind Ensemble, conducted by Donavon Gray, will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Thursday, November 8
Vocal Jazz Choir
Featured in last years Battle of the Big Bands, and now in its second season, the APU Vocal Jazz Choir, under the direction of Rod Cathey, will perform a mix of vocal jazz standards and pop arrangements, both a cappella and accompanied by a jazz trio. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall and is free of charge.

Friday, November 9
Faculty Recital Series
Tenor Kevin St. Claire will perform pieces by Ludwig von Beethoven, Franz Liszt, Richard Hundley, Jean Berger, and others. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Tuesday, November 13
Handbell Choirs
The Handbell Choirs, under the direction of Donavon Gray and Janet Harms, will present an evening performance at 7:30 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Wednesday, November 14
Flute Choir
The Flute Choir, which is comprised of bass flute, alto flute, piccolo, and many others, will perform of a variety of music from Baroque to the 20th Century. The event takes place at 6 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Thursday, November 15
Faculty Recital Series
Rebecca Brannon Genzink, soprano, and Letitia Ugwueke, mezzo-soprano, present a collaborative concert of well known pieces by Bach, Mozart, Debussy, and others. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall. The concert is free of charge.

Friday, November 16
Jazz Ensemble The APU Jazz Ensemble performs an evening concert at 7:30 p.m. in Munson Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Saturday, November 17
Concerto Competition Winners Concert
This event features 2007 Concerto Competition winners pianist Anna Volovitch performing Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini for piano and orchestra; pianist Lam Ming performing the first movement of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major; harpist Amber Burdick performing Debussy’s Danse Sacrée for harp and orchestra; and soprano Meghan McGovern performing Smanie Implacabili from Mozart’s Cosí Fan Tutti. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilden Atrium, located on APU’s East Campus at 901 E. Alosta Ave., Azusa., and is free of charge.
