New Director Impacts Undergraduate Student Experience
December 6, 2005
AZUSA, Calif. –
Azusa resident Gina Donnelly was recently named director of Chapel Programs at Azusa Pacific University. Donnelly previously served as associate director of Chapel Programs, a position she held for nearly five years.
"I am very excited to have this talented leader directing such a vital component of the undergraduate student experience," said Terry Franson, Ph.D., senior vice president for student life.
Prior to her role as associate director, Donnelly was chapel facilitator for Azusa Pacific. She completed a bachelor's degree at APU in Christian Ministries in 1995, as well as a Master's in Business Administration in 2000. As the associate director of Chapel Programs, Donnelly was instrumental in the managing and implementation of one of the largest and most dynamic undergraduate chapel programs in the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities.
Chapel Programs believes in the teaching, exposition, and presentation of scriptural truth through the media of Bible, song, and drama. APU students attend chapel three times per week to hear guest speakers and speakers from the campus community. In her new position, Donnelly hopes to challenge the APU community in the Christian faith as they strengthen their faith in weekly worship.
