For Youth Workers

As someone who works with students, you are in a crucial position to mentor students in their college and career decisions. Just as God led you to vocational ministry through key people he placed in your life, now you find yourself in that role. At the Kern Center for Vocational Ministry, God has called us to assist you in helping the right students consider ministry as a vocation.

We are always looking for student leaders with promise, especially juniors and seniors. These kinds of students display some of the following characteristics:

  • Passionate thirst for God
  • Evident commitment to Jesus Christ
  • Reliability
  • Latent leadership abilities
  • Good people skills
  • A desire to “dig deeper” into Scripture
  • Others turn to them for direction and counsel

If you know a student with these qualities, please encourage him/her to complete the Explore Your Calling questionnaire.

We would love to talk with you individually about how we can partner with you in bringing students to vocational ministry. If you would like to arrange a time for further dialogue, please email ministryasvocation@apu.edu.
