Profile
Mark Aaron Humphrey, DMA, is an active church musician and conductor who, in addition to his teaching at APU, leads the worship and arts division at Bel Air Presbyterian Church. Before joining the faculty at APU, he taught at Palm Beach Atlantic College, Eastern Illinois University, and Golden Gate Seminary. His experience as a church musician includes work in every major Christian tradition. As a conductor, he has worked extensively with choirs and orchestras, including the establishment of a resident orchestra at BAPC. He has conducted and lectured throughout the U.S. and Europe, including multiple appearances at the Hollywood Bowl and Carnegie Hall. His primary research interests include biblical era instruments and worship, the church music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and the interaction of Christians with popular culture.
