Profile
Classical guitarist Michael Kozubek has been on the faculty of Azusa Pacific University since 1987 and is one of the most sought-after teachers of Classical Guitar in Southern California. While receiving his Bachelor of Music from DePaul University in Chicago and his Master of Music from the University of Southern California (USC), Kozubek studied with and performed in the master classes of such guitar luminaries as Andres Segovia, Pepe and Angel Romero, Abel Carlevaro, David Russell, Alexandre Lagoya, David Tanenbaum, Christopher Parkening, Oscar Ghilia, Michael Lorimer, Alice Artzt, John Duarte, Evangelos and Lisa Duo, Jack Cecchini, Pamela Kimmel, Jonathon Marcus, James F. Smith, and Thomas Patterson. He has been an accompanist for ensembles, performed numerous solo recitals, and has also appeared as a guest soloist with symphonic orchestras. Currently, Kozubek is working on his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Arizona.
