Native to Poland, Roza Kostrzewska Yoder is known as a highly accomplished pianist throughout the world. Yoder began studying piano at age four, made her orchestral debut at eleven, and went on to get her master’s degree in Piano with highest distinction from the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Poland, studying under Bronislawa Kawalla. Yoder was the silver prize winner in the Joanna Hodges International Chopin Competition, won first place in the Polish Bach Competition for Young Pianists, and has been a laureate in many other Polish competitions. Outside of teaching master classes and lectures for piano students and teachers, Yoder has performed many solo recitals in Germany, Austria, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, and the United States. Currently, Yoder’s directs Azusa Pacific University’s annual summer International Piano Institute.
