Cheryl Mercurio has been a part of the faculty at Azusa Pacific University (APU) since 2010. However, she has been involved with the school since 1981 beginning with prerequisites for the BSN program. After completing the BSN program in 1984, she began a career in healthcare administration in nursing homes for many years completing her long-term care specialty in geriatrics with a Nursing Home Administrator license. During this period, she enrolled and completed her MSN again with APU as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric-Mental Health Care. She is now currently pursuing further education seeking a DNP degree in her passion with geriatrics. Her commitment to this school revolves around the four cornerstones, in particular the community and service component which is a reflection of her life-time work.
