Catherine Todero, PhD, RN, FAAN, is a professor and associate dean for Azusa Pacific University's School of Nursing, serving also as the site director for the San Diego Regional Center nursing programs and as director of the MSN programs in San Diego. Todero has had a distinguished career in nursing education. She is a professor emeritus from San Diego State University and served from 2006-11 as the director of the School of Nursing at SDSU. From 2009–12, as a governor appointee, she chaired the Education and Licensing Committee of the California State Board of Registered Nursing. She is currently a member of the Sharp Grossmont Hospital Quality and Safety Committee and an IOM, California Action Coalition San Diego Regional Champion. Prior to her relocation to San Diego, she was an associate dean for the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing where she also directed several innovative programs and projects including a Mobile Nursing Center that served vulnerable patients in the eastern half of the state.
