For the past 14 years Harris-Luna has worked as a nurse practitioner, and is new to the faculty role. She is excited and honored to be able to give back to students and share some of the knowledge and experience she has gathered as a clinician. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner and as a pediatric nurse practitioner, an internationally board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), and certified by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) as a clinical densitometrist. Most of her experience is in pediatrics, lactation, and osteoporosis management, and she is committed to inspiring and encouraging nursing students to fulfill their goals in earning an advanced-practice degree.
