Profile
Major King, Ph.D., brings significant leadership, management, clinical, and research experience to Azusa Pacific University's School of Nursing. King served 31 years as a naval nurse corps officer until his retirement in 2003. During his military career, King held many high-level leadership postings. His last assignment was director of nursing research, Naval Hospital in San Diego. King received many awards for this outstanding leadership, commitment to excellence, and mentoring. Most notably, he received the Meritorious Service Medal for his contribution to nursing research. His extensive worldwide travel and exposure to many different cultures are a significant benefit to the APU community.
